Al Santoro (Vocals, MC, Drums)

 

Al Santoro was born in Schenectady, N.Y. and has been playing professionally for over 20 years.

 

     Al started his musical career as a principal percussionist with The Empire State Youth Orchestra, appearing with The Philadelphia Orchestra and performing for President Reagan as well as at national shows throughout the country.

     He studied with Don Bush, Principal Percussionist with The Pittsburgh Symphony and later had the opportunity to study with singer Al Jarreau, one of his early heroes.

     Al has played and sang with many of the top players in the area, including Leo Russo, Sal Maida, John Menegon, Ian Macdonald and Rick Delaratta and also had the opportunity to play with The Drifters.

     

A co-founder of the TS Ensemble in 1980, Al is a peerless entertainer. Whether its from behind the drums or out in front of the band, his energy and unique vocal stylings help make The TS Ensemble one of the most sought after acts in the Northeast.

Terry Haddad (Vocals)

Terry has been performing professionally for 11 years. 

 

     She started dancing at age 5 and singing at age 13.  Her credits include: performing at Paramount Kings's Dominion, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, Holland America Cruise lines, Woodloch Pines Resort, Pocmont Resort, Villaroma Resort, the national tour for Scholastic's "The Magic School Bus", as well as opening for Tony Orlando.  Terry also had the opportunity of performing her own show in the Poconos.
     

Terry's powerful vocals and dynamic stage presence add a special dimension to the band and truly make for an entertaining show.

Jason Wiley (Guitar)

 

The newest member of the TS ENSEMBLE brings his Funk / Jazz flavor to the Nationally Sponsored Band.  His Funk / Jazz Improv brings a whole new flavor to TSE.  A graduate of the Berkley School of Music in Boston – Jason has played and studied with the top recording guitarists in the country.  These guitarists are Jon Finn – Guitarist for the Boston Pops Orchestra and Grammy nominated CD “A splash of Pops” Next is Richie Hart / Jim Kelly / Joe Stump / Scott Tarulli.  Jason presently teaches guitar in upstate NEW YORK and plays full time with TS ENSEMBLE.  We welcome Jason Wiley to the TSE Stage

Dave Grant (Bass Guitar, Vocals)

Dave began playing bass at age 15 as a member of The Linton High School Stage Band.

     He has performed with area bands such as The Hands of Time, OZ and also in the "Paul Hunt as Little Elvis/Traces of Time" stage show where met and developed a lasting friendship with band mate Roger Rose.

A member of the band since 1986, Dave supplies the low end foundation along with his gritty rock and roll vocals.

John Profeta (Keyboards, Drums, Vocals)  

John Profeta was born on Long Island, a child of the Late '50's.  John has playing keyboards, guitar, bass and drums professionally for over 25 years.

      As a member of The Chaperones,(Cruise To The Moon) and The Passions,(Just To Be With You,Gloria) he shared the stage with  Chubby Checker, Tommy James, Looking Glass, Melissa Manchester, The Platters, Danny & The Juniors, Ben E. King, Sam the Sham and many more.
     Regionally he has been a member of The Dukes, Miranda James' Steel Blue, Paula Frasier & Montana and Livewire where he has appeared along side The Charlie Daniels Band, Tom Wopat, Sawyer Brown and others.
     John is the owner of Silver Streak Studio, a 24 track recording studio in Clifton Park, NY.He's recorded with Relentless Nashville artist Valerie DeLaCruz and played with Corley Roberts on the soundtrack to "Murph's Law and Judgement Time", a 2001 Fountainhead Pictures film.
     

A member since 2002, John is happy to showcase his musical and recording talents playing keboards(and occasional drums), and producing upstate's premier band, The TS Ensemble.

Ken Parmele (Tenor and Alto Saxophones)

Ken grew up on Long Island and attended Hartwick College where he received a BA in Music.

     After graduating he perfomed with many of the leading jazz and r&b acts in central New York State. Since moving to the Capital District in 1989 he has become one of the most sought after players in the area.  His credits include:David Ward, John Hilton, Kerry DeNigris, Diane Marlowe, Sal Maida and The Refrigerators.
     Known for his versatility on both tenor and alto saxophones, Ken was a prominent member and featured soloist with long time area favorite Plus 24 and local R&B stalwart Larry Lewis, sharing the stage with many national acts including The Spinners, Buster Poindexter and Jerry Lee Lewis.

As an arranger, Kenny is a welcome addition to The TS Ensemble and his always inspired solos have made The TS Horns hotter than ever.

Tino Santoro (Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Vocals) 

Tino Santoro was born in Schenectady N.Y. and has been performing, professionally for over 25 years. 

     Regionally he has been a member of Grand Central Station, Steve E. King, The Refrigerators and The TS Ensemble.  He has shared the stage with The Average White Band, David Cassidy, Color Me Bad, C&C Music Factory, N-Sync, Inner Circle, 98 Degrees, The Baha Men, George Clinton, P-Funk, Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes, The Charlie Daniels Band, KC & The Sunshine Band and The Gap Band.

Tino brings his own individual sound to The TS Ensemble. Along with his distinctive trumpet sound, the band is always happy to showcase his considerable talents as a vocalist.T

Chad Lenig (Drums, Percussion and Trombone)

Chad Lenig – Born in Cooperstown, NY – has been performing professionally as a Drummer/Trombonist/Percussionist and Vocalist for 15 Years.  A graduate of SUNY Fredonia, He holds bachelor degrees in both Music Education and Music Composition.  Chad is also a graduate of the College of St. Rose, where he completed his Masters in Music Technology in 2002.  

     Chad Lenig has performed as a member of many different rock groups.  While a member of Milk Carton – he shared the stage with the Goo Goo Dolls, Velocity Girl, and 10,000 Manics.  He also spent time as a member of Gran Slam, The Copy Cats, Cracker 5, Chris Cernak, Primitive Groove, Ascension Theory and 7 years with the very popular “White August.”

     In addition to being a performer, Chad is also employed as a music instructor at Fonda-Fultonville Central School District.  A position he has held for the last five years.  He also own and operates Lenig Studio’s –a Pro-tools Recording Studio – based in Fort Johnson, NY.

     Chad brings a unique set of skills to TSE – from his funky grooves on the drums to his tasteful flavors on percussion and trombone.
